It's hard for her to open up.

     Easy for her to accept lies.
Hard for her to sacrifice.
     Easy for her to criticize.
Hard for her to grasp the lesson.
     Easy for her to judge others.

    Easy for her to remain stagnant.
Hard for her to care about herself.
     Easy for her to put others down.
Hard for her to apologize.
     Easy for her to burn bridges.
Hard for her to be grateful.
     Easy for her to bite the hand that feeds her.
Hard for her to reach out.
     Easy for her to observe from afar.
Hard for her to ask for help.
     Easy for her to keep it moving.
Hard for her to praise me.
     Easy for her to leave, again & again.
Hard for her to have the time of her life.
     Easy for her to give up (on herself).

But Mommy, you can release w/me.

Don't say that .

But Mommy, hold onto me.

Don't assume.

But Mommy, you may confide in me.

Don't believe that.

But Mommy, it will all be worth it.

Don't complain.

But Mommy, just listen!

Don't fault them.

But Mommy, an alteration (or three) is necessary.

Don't be afraid of progress.

But Mommy, you can be so great.

Don't be mean.

But Mommy, saying sorry doesn't mean you lost.

Don't plant seeds of regret.

But Mommy, say thank you!

Don't mess up what you haven't earned.

But Mommy, I'm here.

Don't stare.

But Mommy, it's okay for you to call on me.

Don't neglect me.

But Mommy, I love you!

Don't part ways w/ me, again.

But Mommy, be free.
