Overcome

Just got home.. hung out w/someone respectful, intelligent & such a gentleman. Looking forward to more quality time for sure. I don't understand how men or women (boys & girls, really) give up on the opposite sex. Their failed relationships leave some hopeless & unwilling to open up to others. I feel their pain & I pray for them. Yes, everything does come to an end. So why not enjoy them while you have them. A busy schedule & making sure one takes care of themselves first is most definitely understandable. But make time for people. Don't be so skeptical just because others mistreated you or you yourself made a mistake(s). There is a great friend in everyone. You may miss out on an incredible individual who can teach you a thing or two. What's life without knowledge? Live, learn, move forward & pursue growth.
